Softball Recap: Harvey Red Raiders vs. West Geauga Wolverines

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three contests, Harvey finally came back down to earth on Monday. They fell victim to a rough 26-1 loss at the hands of the West Geauga Wolverines. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest runs Harvey has scored all season.

For West Geauga's part, Lely Percassi was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 13 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Percassi has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive pitching appearances. Percassi was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and a double.

In other batting news, West Geauga got a massive performance out of Ava Borz, who scored four runs while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Dayana Malone, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs and four RBI.
