Basketball Recap: Colt Greer's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Gray Stone Day over Albemarle

Gray Stone Day was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a hard 55-37 fall against the Albemarle Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-33 back in January.

Gray Stone Day lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Colt Greer, who posted six points along with 16 boards and three steals. Another player making a difference was Evan Barber, who scored 14 points.

Gray Stone Day's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Albemarle, the victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-19.

Coincidentally, Gray Stone Day and Albemarle will both be playing North Stanly the next time they take the court. Gray Stone Day will host North Stanly at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, while Albemarle will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
