Volleyball Recap: Anchor Bay Falls to Imlay City in First Game of Season

Anchor Bay unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 2-0 to the Imlay City Spartans on Wednesday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-14.

Gianna Peiffer paced Anchor Bay's offense, picking up five kills. Peiffer got some help from Emma Baaso and her ten assists. Baaso was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Anchor Bay has already played their next matchup (against Grand Ledge), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Imlay City, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Brown City at 5:00 p.m. on September 3.
