Basketball Recap: Canyon Springs Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Canyon Springs can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. Everything went their way against the Cheyenne Desert Shields as the Canyon Springs Pioneers made off with a 66-40 win. That's more bragging rights for the Pioneers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Canyon Springs found their leader in freshman Mekhi Carter, who went 8 for 13 on his way to 17 points and three steals. Gregory Paige was another key player, going 6 of 11 on his way to 13 points.
