Basketball Recap: Nathan Wilbourne's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mauldin over Riverside + How To Watch

Mauldin lost against Riverside last Monday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Mavericks took a 75-56 bruising from the Warriors.

Mauldin lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Nathan Wilbourne, who posted eight points and five assists. My'Khail Cannon also deserves some recognition as he scored his first points of the season.

Mauldin has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. As for Riverside, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Looking ahead, Mauldin won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Westside at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mavericks will be up against the Rams' rather soft defense (which has allowed 60.67 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Riverside, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Dorman at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors will need to watch out since the Cavaliers have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
