Baseball Preview: Putnam County Midgets vs. Clark County Indians
The Putnam County Midgets will head out on the road to square off against the Clark County Indians at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Putnam County is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
Putnam County is headed into the game having just suffered their closest loss since May 6, 2025 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Meadville by a score of 3-1.
Meanwhile, Clark County made easy work of Centralia on Monday and carried off an 8-1 win. With that victory, the Indians brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.
Mason Davidson was excellent, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two RBI and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Corrick Hunziker, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Clark County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive contests.
