Volleyball Recap: Newtown Triumphs

The Newtown Nighthawks earned a 3-1 victory over the Greenwich Cardinals on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Nighthawks.

The final score came out to 25-19, 21-25, 25-16, 25-19.

Among those leading the charge was Eli Sullivan, who had 22 digs. He is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 12 or more in each of the last five games he's played dating back to last season.

Despite the loss, Greenwich still got an impressive performance from Logan Jaycox, who had five digs and two aces.

Newtown's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Greenwich, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Newtown will square off against Cheshire at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Greenwich, they will face off against New Canaan at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
