Baseball Recap: Red Mesa Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Red Mesa kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against the Ash Fork/Seligman Spartans, falling 16-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Redskins in their meetings with the Spartans: they've now lost five in a row.

The win got Ash Fork/Seligman back to even at 2-2.

Coming up, Red Mesa will head out on the road to challenge Greyhills Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Greyhills Academy has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.5 runs per game on average), something Red Mesa will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Ash Fork/Seligman, they have already played their next contest, a 15-5 victory against St. Michael on the 24th.
