Softball Recap: Williamsville Takes a Loss

If Williamsville was riding high fresh off their 11-0 takedown of Morton on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bullets took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Meridian Hawks on Monday. The Bullets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Williamsville's record now sits at 16-11. As for Meridian, they pushed their record up to 21-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, Williamsville will venture away from home to take on Mt. Zion at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Braves have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Meridian, they will square off against Maroa-Forsyth at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
