After a string of four wins, Guthrie's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. The match between them and the Harrold Hornets didn't end well, with the Guthrie Jaguars falling 43-25. The Jaguars lost against the Hornets in their previous head to head back in November of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 78-31 score last time.

Guthrie's loss dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Harrold, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Guthrie won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Woodson at 11:40 a.m. on Friday. As for Harrold, they will be taking part in a tournament against Wellman-Union at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
