Volleyball Recap: Woodcreek Takes a Loss

Woodcreek was the 3-1 winner over Christian Brothers when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Timberwolves fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Woodcreek sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 19-25, 25-23, 22-25, 15-13.

Their offense was headlined by Tim Karanja and Brody Krupp, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Levi Black and his 17 assists. Krupp was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Woodcreek's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Christian Brothers, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

Woodcreek has already played their next contest (against Vista del Lago), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Christian Brothers also has no score uploaded for their next match, this one against Ponderosa.
