Baseball Recap: Jones Comes Up Short

Jones fell victim to Payton College Prep and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Grizzlies by a score of 2-0. Having soared to a lofty 21 runs in the game before, the Eagles' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Jones saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michael Hein, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Jones' defeat dropped their record down to 14-16. As for Payton College Prep, their record now sits at 13-17.

Jones does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Payton College Prep, they are taking a road trip to challenge Maine West at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
