Baseball Recap: Immaculata-La Salle Falls Short of Miami Springs in the Playoffs

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Immaculata-La Salle couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Miami Springs Golden Hawks by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Royal Lions of the 4-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2017.

Immaculata-La Salle saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jason Amor, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Immaculata-La Salle's defeat dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Miami Springs, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season.

As of now, neither Immaculata-La Salle nor Miami Springs have any future games scheduled.
