Norwalk's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Sandusky Blue Streaks. The win continues a trend for the Truckers in their matchups with the Blue Streaks: they've now won eight in a row.

Sophia Ames spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Reagan Mooney, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Saige Viock, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Norwalk kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are 4-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Norwalk's record is now 5-9. As for Sandusky, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-5.

Looking ahead, Norwalk will square off against New London at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Sandusky, they will challenge Ross at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
