Volleyball Recap: St. Paul's Episcopal Takes a Loss

St. Paul's Episcopal lost against Hoover back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Saints fell just short of the Buccaneers by a score of 2-1.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, St. Paul's Episcopal sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 24-26, 15-10.

Marissa Smith paced St. Paul's Episcopal's offense, picking up five kills. Smith got some help from Ivey Marston and her eight assists.

St. Paul's Episcopal's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 22-15. As for Hoover, they moved to 16-21 with that victory, which also ended their three-match losing streak.

St. Paul's Episcopal didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Orange Beach on the 11th. As for Hoover, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Spain Park on the 11th.
