Baseball Recap: Onaga Drops Season-High Score on Centralia

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Onaga). They blew past the Centralia Panthers 15-4 on Monday. The Buffaloes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by nine runs or more this season.

L.J. Koelzer and Maddex Honas did most of the damage at the plate: Koelzer scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3, while Honas went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave Honas a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cameron Kramer, who scored three runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Onaga always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Onaga now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Centralia, they dropped their record down to 2-3 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Onaga beat the Panthers by a score of 14-4 later that day.
