Airport waltzed into their matchup on Monday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They never let the North Augusta Yellow Jackets get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted since March 1st.

Not much got past Hunter Epps, who gave up just two hits and racked up ten Ks to keep North Augusta off the board. Epps has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Airport's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Dunlap, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Airport pushed their record up to 9-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for North Augusta, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-8.

Coming up, North Augusta will take on Greenwood at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Airport will be paying especially close attention to North Augusta's game: after North Augusta faces off against Greenwood, they'll take on Airport again at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
