Recap: Goshen RedHawks vs. NorthWood Panthers

It was a good run, but the Goshen RedHawks unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They received a tough blow as they fell 55-40 to NorthWood. Goshen has not had much luck with NorthWood recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

When it comes to explaining why Goshen lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kyra Hill. Despite the final result, she scored 19 points along with five rebounds and five blocks. Hill has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last three times she's played.

NorthWood's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Callie Johnson led the charge by scoring 11 points along with six rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Johnson has scored all season. Claire Payne was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with ten rebounds and four blocks.

Goshen's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-10. As for NorthWood, their victory bumped their record up to 17-5.

Goshen will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Warsaw at 7:45 p.m. Hopefully Warsaw focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Saturday. As for NorthWood, they will head out on the road to face off against Penn at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
