Baseball Game Preview: Green Hill Hawks vs. Mount Juliet Golden Bears

For the second straight game, Green Hill will face off against Mount Juliet. The Hawks will challenge the Golden Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Green Hill's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so Mount Juliet's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Green Hill blew Mount Juliet out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Mount Juliet got their revenge. The Hawks fell just short of the Golden Bears by a score of 3-1. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Mount Juliet's part, Carter Lewis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits and racked up seven Ks. Lewis has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Mount Juliet saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Finney, who went 1-for-4 with one RBI.

Green Hill's loss dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Mount Juliet, their win bumped their record up to 6-17-1.
