Soccer Game Preview: Centralia vs. Shelton

The Centralia Tigers will head out to challenge the Shelton Highclimbers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Centralia's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Monday, Centralia didn't have quite enough to beat Tumwater and fell 4-3. The loss continues a trend for Centralia in their meetings with Tumwater: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Shelton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of WF West. That's two games in a row now that Shelton have lost by just one goal.

Centralia now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Shelton, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8-1.

Centralia beat Shelton 2-0 when the teams last played two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
