Baseball Recap: Crosbyton Takes a Loss

Crosbyton fell victim to Nazareth and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Swifts, falling 19-0. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Chiefs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Crosbyton's defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Nazareth, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 12-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crosbyton will take on Non Varsity Opponent at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Nazareth, they will face off against Springlake-Earth at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wolverines have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.06 runs per game on average), something the Swifts will no doubt try to take advantage of.
