Volleyball Recap: Owen Hubner and Trey Hubner Secure Win for Wheaton North

There's no place like home for Wheaton North, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the St. Charles East Fighting Saints 2-1 on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Fighting Saints: they've now won eight in a row.

Wheaton North was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-14, 25-10.

Leading Wheaton North to victory were Trey Hubner and Owen Hubner. Trey had 19 assists and five digs, while Owen had 17 assists. Those 17 assists gave Owen a new career-high. Tom?s Manrique also deserves some recognition as he had his first block of the season.

Wheaton North's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for St. Charles East, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-5 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wheaton North will challenge Hinsdale Central at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for St. Charles East, they will be playing at home against Lake Park at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
