Softball Recap: Barstow Takes a Loss

Barstow lost against Silverado back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Aztecs fell 17-12 to the Hawks. The Aztecs just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Madalyn Ayala made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Mia-Cali Zamora, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-5.

Barstow's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Silverado, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Barstow is set to square off against their familiar foe Granite Hills at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Silverado will face off against rival Victor Valley at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
