Preview: Copley Indians vs. Magnificat Blue Streaks
After two games on the road, Copley is heading back home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Magnificat Blue Streaks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Wednesday, Copley didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Solon, but they still walked away with a 52-48 win.
Izzy Callaway was her usual excellent self, scoring 15 points. Kami Ayoup was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Magnificat has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 23 points or more this season. They took their contest on the road last Wednesday with ease, bagging a 62-28 victory over Westlake. Given Magnificat's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 21st, while Westlake is ranked 234th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Copley pushed their record up to 8-0 with that victory, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Magnificat, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.
