Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Norco

Norco waltzed into their game on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with an 8-4 victory over the King Wolves. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 17-2 victory back in April.

Landon Hovermale got the start for Norco and what a start it was: he struck out 12 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off two hits. Hovermale has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Norco got a massive performance out of Codey Brown, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave Brown a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Seward, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Norco always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .559. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Norco's record is now 24-3. As for King, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 14 of their last 17 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-15 record this season.

As of now, neither Norco nor King have any future games scheduled.
