Baseball Recap: Springfield Takes a Loss

Springfield lost against Northlake Christian back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bulldogs took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolverines. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Will Sanders made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Ethan Lipscomb, who scored two runs while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Springfield's defeat dropped their record down to 14-19. As for Northlake Christian, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-14-1.

As of now, neither Springfield nor the Wolverines have any future games scheduled.
