Baseball Recap: Wink Falls to Compass Academy in First Game of Season

Wink unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 19-12 to Compass Academy on Monday.

CAYTON NOYOLA made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored four runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Kovie Roberson was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

Compass Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Wink will be playing at home against Trinity at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Compass Academy, they are taking a road trip to face off against Monahans at 8:30 a.m. on Friday. Compass Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10 runs per game this season.
