Basketball Recap: Princeton Starts Season with Win Against Capital

Princeton took care of business in their home opener on Wednesday. They took down the Capital Cougars 51-33. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won four in a row.

Princeton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Natalie Rose led the charge by putting up 12 points in addition to six boards and four steals. Those four steals gave Rose a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Abbey Honaker, who posted eight points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Princeton will face off against Greenbrier East at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Capital, they will take on Wheeling Central Catholic at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
