Football Recap: Strother Comes Up Short on the Road Against Sasakwa

Strother had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. The game between the Yellowjackets and the Sasakwa Vikings didn't end well, with the Yellowjackets falling 46-32. The contest was a 18-18 toss-up at halftime, but the Yellowjackets couldn't quite close it out.

Sasakwa's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Titan Collins, who picked up 177 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Collins was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 65 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Thaddeus Harjo, who threw for 191 yards and two TDs on only 13 passes.

Strother and Sasakwa will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time the Yellowjackets see the field they'll take on Midway at 7:00 p.m. on the 12th. As for Sasakwa, their break will end when they face Caddo at 7:00 p.m. on the 12th.
