Meanwhile, Central Davidson fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Randleman on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 4-3. The loss continues a trend for Central Davidson in their meetings with Randleman: they've now lost three in a row.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-13. As for Central Davidson, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-18.
