Basketball Recap: Paradise Valley Christian Prep Takes a Loss

Paradise Valley Christian Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 86-51 loss at the hands of American Leadership Academy. One positive for the Panthers, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

CJ Christopher Williams continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for American Leadership Academy, putting up 55 points. The game was Williams' eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Porter Jones, who posted 11 points.

Paradise Valley Christian Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for American Leadership Academy, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

After both having extra time off, Paradise Valley Christian Prep and Arrowhead Christian Academy will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 6:30 p.m. on January 9, 2025. As for American Leadership Academy, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Academy with Community Partners at 6:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
