On Monday Everett Welch posted four points along with eight boards and three blocks. The effort marked the most blocks Welch has had since back in November of 2024. As if that's not impressive enough, the contest was also his fourth in a row with two or more steals. This year, he has averaged 12.9 points, 1.5 blocks, and 1.2 steals.

Welch and Malone will be playing in front of their home fans against Liberty County at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers had to take a loss when they last met the Bulldogs, but Welch had little to do with the loss: he shot 4-for-7 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds.
