Basketball Recap: Sebeka Takes a Loss

Sebeka and Browerville/Eagle Valley squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Sebeka had to settle for second. They lost 76-56 to the Browerville/Eagle Valley Tigers. The Trojans have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meetings.

Despite the loss, Sebeka saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Max Lake shot 58% from the field on his way to 17 points along with five assists and five steals. Lake's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Parker Kiser was another key player, putting up 13 points and five rebounds.

Even though they lost, Sebeka was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January.

Sebeka's defeat dropped their record down to 8-19. As for Browerville/Eagle Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

As of now, neither Sebeka nor Browerville/Eagle Valley have any future games scheduled.
