Softball Game Preview: Cox Mill Chargers vs. West Cabarrus Wolverines

The Cox Mill Chargers will head out on the road to face off against the West Cabarrus Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses apiece.

Cox Mill came up short against South Iredell on Friday, falling 13-1.

Cox Mill saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evie Flores, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, West Cabarrus started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Hickory Ridge. They lost 12-3 to the Ragin' Bulls on Friday.

Kamryn Weaks made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Cadyn Ready was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Cox Mill's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for West Cabarrus, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.

Cox Mill suffered a grim 11-3 defeat to West Cabarrus in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Can the Chargers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
