Basketball Game Preview: Lincoln County Falcons vs. Giles County Bobcats

Lincoln County and Giles County are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2018, but not for long. The Lincoln County Falcons will venture away from home to take on the Giles County Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Lincoln County is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Saturday. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 60-55 heartbreaker at the hands of Wayne County. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 239th, while the Wildcats are ranked 91st).

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Giles County beat Madison Academy 80-75 on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bobcats.

Giles County's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Lincoln County, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

Lincoln County came up short against Giles County when the teams last played on December 10th, falling 68-63. Can Lincoln County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
