Baseball Game Preview: McMinn County Cherokees vs. Walker Valley Mustangs

For the second straight game, McMinn County will face off against Walker Valley. The Cherokees will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

McMinn County made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Walker Valley, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Cherokees blew past the Mustangs 7-1 on Tuesday. The Cherokees not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 1st.

McMinn County's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-11. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Walker Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-14 record this season.
