Recap: James Logan Colts vs. Bishop O'Dowd Dragons
The James Logan Colts had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They managed a 33-29 win over Bishop O'Dowd. That's another feather in the cap for James Logan, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Several Dragons players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Miles Dixon, who picked up 136 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Dixon hasn't dropped below two receiving touchdowns for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Devin Wilson, who threw for 335 yards and four touchdowns while completing 80.6% of his passes.
James Logan's win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 5-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 34.3 points per game. As for Bishop O'Dowd, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.
James Logan will head out on the road to face off against Moreau Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bishop O'Dowd, they will be playing in front of their home fans against San Leandro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. San Leandro is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.
