Volleyball Recap: Barnstable Extends Winning Streak to Four

Barnstable barely beat Notre Dame Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Red Hawks put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday. The victory was nothing new for the Red Hawks as they're now sitting on four straight.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Barnstable took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-12, 25-10.

Ava Johnston paced Barnstable's offense, picking up 12 kills. Johnston got some help from Nicky Murphy and her 27 assists. Jazzy Coyer controlled things from the service line, finishing with nine aces.

Barnstable's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Notre Dame Academy, they moved to 13-3 with that loss, which also ended their ten-match winning streak.

Looking ahead, Barnstable will head out to challenge Westborough at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Notre Dame Academy, they will welcome Hingham at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
