Recap: Sycamore War Eagles vs. Fairview Yellowjackets
If The Sycamore War Eagles were feeling good off their 41-15 takedown of the Cheatham County Central Cubs two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Sycamore took a 32-14 bruising from Fairview on Friday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Sycamore in their matchups with Fairview: they've now lost nine in a row.
Fairview found their leader in underclassman Jax Mccoy, who threw for 155 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a rushing score. Cayden Lee also helped out with an impressive 105 receiving yards.
Sycamore's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Fairview, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.
Sycamore will head out on the road to face off against Stewart County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Stewart County is out to stop a nine-game streak of losses at home. Fairview will take on White House-Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Tennessee (White House-Heritage is ranked 233rd, while Fairview is ranked 224th).
