Basketball Recap: Leo Comes Up Short

Leo lost against Bellmont back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Leo Lions were outmatched by the Bellmont Braves and fell 53-22. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 197th, while the Braves are ranked 23rd).

When it comes to explaining why Leo lost, don't look at Leah Shappell. Despite the final result, she posted seven points and six rebounds.

Leo's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Bellmont, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-2.

As of now, neither Leo nor Bellmont have any future games scheduled.
