South Williamsport is 10-0 against Bucktail since December of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The South Williamsport Mountaineers will take on the Bucktail Bucks at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Friday, South Williamsport came up short against Line Mountain and fell 65-53.

Meanwhile, Bucktail had to suffer through a 70-37 loss at the hands of Muncy. While losing is never fun, the Bucks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 594th, while the Indians are ranked 247th).

South Williamsport's loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Bucktail, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-9.

South Williamsport beat Bucktail 69-58 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for South Williamsport since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
