After only one run in their last match, Neshannock made sure to put some runs up on the board against Northgate on Monday. The Lancers blew past the Flames 14-2. Considering the Lancers have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Jake Rynd was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
In other pitching news, Neshannock got a great performance from Denny Joseph as he struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits (and not a single walk).
