Softball Recap: Bishop Diego Cardinals vs. Carpinteria Warriors

Bishop Diego can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent game on Monday. They put the hurt on the Carpinteria Warriors with a sharp 12-2 victory. The win was just what Bishop Diego needed coming off of an 11-1 defeat in their prior match.

Madeline Ferries spent all seven innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits.

At the plate, Bishop Diego got a massive performance out of Lauren Weeks, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-4. Tessa Johansen was another key contributor, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

On Carpinteria's side, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Amarisse Camargo, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Cecilia Lemus, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
