West Caldwell is 9-1 against East Burke since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Warriors will take on the Cavaliers at 5:00 p.m. West Caldwell is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.

On Wednesday, West Caldwell was able to grind out a solid win over East Rutherford, taking the game 4-2. The final result isn't all that surprising considering West Caldwell's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 149th, while East Rutherford are ranked 302nd).

Andy Galindo and Joel Briones scored all four of West Caldwell's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 36 goals.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for East Burke's offense. They came up short against Hibriten on Wednesday, falling 6-0. East Burke have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

East Burke's loss dropped their record down to 0-14-1. As for West Caldwell, their victory bumped their record up to 10-4-1.

Everything went West Caldwell's way against East Burke when the teams last played back in September, as West Caldwell made off with a 9-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
