Baseball Recap: Carlmont Takes a Loss

Carlmont was the 5-4 winner over Hillsdale when they last played one another last Wednesday, but their luck changed this time around. Carlmont fell just short of Hillsdale by a score of 3-2 on Friday.

Carlmont saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Henry Massey, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Carlmont has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season. Hillsdale has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Carlmont will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Menlo-Atherton at 4:00 p.m. Menlo-Atherton will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Carlmont surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hillsdale, they will venture away from home to challenge Homestead at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
