Basketball Recap: Harrison Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Lebanon came into Saturday's match looking for another win against Harrison, but Aleah Szymanski wouldn't allow it. The Harrison Raiders walked away with a 45-37 victory over the Lebanon Tigers on Saturday thanks in part to Szymanski, who posted 14 points along with six boards and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Sadey Ringler, who earned eight points and three blocks. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in blocks.

Lebanon lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Claire Boling, who put up seven points along with five assists and five steals. Ali Bir was another key player, putting up eight points.

Harrison moved to 5-11 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak. As for Lebanon, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.

Harrison will square off against Zionsville at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Zionsville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.6 points per game this season. As for Lebanon, they will take on Clinton Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Clinton Central will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Lebanon surely won't give up without a fight.
