Basketball Recap: Farmersville Comes Up Short

Farmersville and North Lamar squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Farmersville had to settle for second. They took a blow against the North Lamar Panthers, falling 57-27. While losing is never fun, the Farmers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 587th, while the Panthers are ranked 123rd).

Farmersville has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 12-15 record this season. As for North Lamar, the win was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 24-9.

Farmersville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Lamar, they will challenge Brownsboro on Thursday. Brownsboro will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something North Lamar surely won't give up without a fight.
