Softball Recap: Cornerstone Christian Takes a Loss

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Cornerstone Christian and Bethel Christian meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Crusaders lost 19-7 to the Kings. That's two games in a row now that the Crusaders have lost by exactly 12 runs.

Cornerstone Christian saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Natalie Alexander, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Alexander also brought in two RBI, marking her first of the season.

Cornerstone Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Bethel Christian, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-5.

Looking ahead, Cornerstone Christian will head out on the road to face off against Calvary Baptist at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bethel Christian, they will welcome Hesperia Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Kings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Patriots have averaged an impressive 10.3 runs per game this season.
