Baseball Recap: Springfield Takes a Loss

Springfield lost against Radnor back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cougars fell just short of the Raptors by a score of 2-1. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Denny Monastra was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

Springfield's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Radnor, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Springfield is set to take on their familiar foe Ridley at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Radnor will face off against rival Penncrest at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
