Basketball Game Preview: Perry Commodores vs. Riverdale Falcons

The Perry Commodores will kick their season off against the Riverdale Falcons on Tuesday. Tip off is scheduled at 7:30 p.m.

Perry will be up against a hot Riverdale squad: the team just extended their winning streak to six. Riverdale managed a 44-40 victory over Van Buren on Thursday. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 233rd, while the Black Knights are ranked 524th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Riverdale's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-4.

As for Perry, they've got a clean slate this season. Last year, they had a stellar season and finished 15-7.

Perry was taken down by Riverdale 64-27 in their previous meeting back in December of 2014. Can Perry avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
